Use
Typical starter, served also as side dish, in salads or simply with bread. Ideal for buffet and coktail parties.

How to store
It keeps for several months at normal temperature. Once opened it keeps in the fridge for several months. Make sure the oil always covers the tomatoes, to avoid drying and to keep softness.

Natural Production
This preserve is a classic example of a typical Apulian vegetables in oil, artisanal made following ancient traditions.Tomatoes are picked during ripening and after accurate selection arranged on frames, dried by direct exposure to sunlight in July and August, sprinkled with sea salt to help the dehydration.

Tips
The tomatoes are delicious just as they are. No need to mix with or add other food. In Italy, we do not use them much as pasta sauce nor in cold pasta salads.
Producer
"Il Trullo" is produced by Puma Conserve, a medium size company producing preserves only with natural ingredients and traditional artisanal methods, near Bari in Apulia (Puglia).

This part of Southern Italy, blessed by Mediterranean sun, is famous for producing top quality vegetables and the art of conserving them in the sun, as women have been doing outside of their home for centuries.
